Wine on Wheels Seminar Series

Wheeling Forward's Wine on Wheels Seminar Series for our disabled connoisseurs is a series of small, intimate wine courses meant to introduce and educate the disabled community on the world of wine culture. The course offerings in the series will range from introductory to more advanced wine courses and each course will generally consist of a tasting of 6-8 different wines. Courses will be taught by Sommelier Yannick Benjamin, and may from time to time feature presentations from guest sommeliers. The courses will be free of charge for disabled individuals, and one companion may join them for a suggested fee of $25 per course. For those disabled individuals who require additional help, volunteers will be on hand at every course to provide assistance.

Our first Wine on Wheels Seminar Series Class took place on Thursday April 5th and was a great success. Sommelier Yannick Benjamin discussed the basics of wine culture and 8 different wines were offered for tasting. Everyone had a great time while learning and tasting, and all the attendees were very excited about coming to future seminars!!
